BCBA Resident Judge - Nancy Cudis

Nancy Cudis-Ucag was once a journalist, covering the general assignments and business beats for Sun.Star Cebu before she handled the media relations, public relations and digital media of Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc.

What she has learned and experienced during her years as an employee were applied in her small business, The Memoriter Writing Service. As owner and managing director, she manages the content needs of and writes for a diverse clientele, including non-government organizations, professional individuals, publicly-listed companies, and government agencies.

She is also part-time teacher at St. Theresa’s College, teaching Mass Communication courses, such as developmental theater, investigative journalism and newspaper editing and layout.

In the past 10 years, she won several awards, including Best in News Writing in the 2009 Cebu Archdiocesan Mass Media Awards (CAMMA), Blogger of the Year in the 2012 and 2013 Globe Cebu Media Excellence Awards, Top 9 Finalist in the 2012 Gadgets Magazine’s Good Blog Awards, and Best Institutional Website (for a company website she handled and managed) in the 2013 CAMMA, among others.

A volunteer at heart, she goes to public and private schools, teaching young people on the basics of writing and blogging.

Her affiliations include being a new member of the Women in Literary Arts, a member of the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry, former vice president and member of the Cebu Bloggers Society Inc., former secretary and member of the Cebu Association of Communication Educators, co-organizer of Cebu Book Club, resident judge of Cebu Blog Awards, and current vice president of the Media Information Network for Nutrition and Development-7.

She is currently finishing her master’s degree in media studies major in print journalism.
