Crown Regency Hotel and Towers Celebrates Sinulog 2017 With Major Events

CrownRegency Hotel & Towers celebrated the eclectic infusion of culture and spirituality in the Philippine’s historic city of Cebu, the Sinulog festival.  Experience the one of a kind cultural immersion in the country and partake in the winding parades of street dancers in brightly colored costumes.

The guests enjoyed the roaring beat of the drums as the streets of the Queen City come alive in a whirlwind of colors, dancing, and elaborate costumes, culminated by a splashy, vibrant and roaring grand parade on its final day.

Crown Regency ups the ante this year with a series of events starting last Thursday, January 12 to Sunday, January 15, with the main highlight on Saturday, January 14 – Dance Explosion: A Battle of the Champions.

Schedule of Activities:

January 12 (Thursday) 

Hangop sa Senyor

                A much-awaited annual event herein an 8-foot tall statue of the Senior Santo Niño descend from the 35^th floor of the tallest hotel building in the country down to the ground floor of the hotel’s façade. Event was open to everyone and admission was also FREE. 

Time      : 6PM – 7PM

January 14 (Saturday) 

Dance Explosion Contest

                The battle of the champions on the dancefloor as they showcased their dance moves in a series of dance styles from jazz to hip-hop from different hometowns in the Visayas.  The event was open to everyone and admission was also FREE.

January 15 (Friday) 

Radio Cebu Variety Show

The final day of Sinulog was celebrated with a variety of entertainment in cooperation with Radio Cebu FM station featuring local talents from CJ’s MUSIC PRODUCTION. The guests witnessed a classic Sinulog party showcasing the best of Cebuano talents! Event was open to everyone and admission was also FREE. 

Time      : 3PM – 6PM

House Music Party

                The house music party was a night to remember! Live DJs from Radio Cebu was on deck. The party was done at 4am.

Time      : 9PM onwards
